Memorial Union

Treasured by generations, the Memorial Union is one of the most beloved and historic destinations in Madison. This Wisconsin treasure is a place where UW students, faculty and staff; guests of the University; as well as Wisconsin Union members come to socialize, relax, study and be nourished. One of its most famous spaces is the Memorial Union Terrace. This lakefront gathering space is where the community gathers each spring, summer and fall to enjoy a sunny day or a beautiful evening. The Memorial Union is also recognized for its classic architecture and bright green, orange and yellow sunburst Terrace chairs.
