Brunet Island State Park
Brunet Island State Park, where the Fisher River meets the Chippewa River, offers more than 1,300 acres of scenic beauty and outdoor recreation just north of Cornell. The park’s quiet lagoons and rolling landscape, shaped by the last Ice Age, are perfect for canoeing, wildlife watching, and hiking. Visitors will find a swimming beach, picnic areas, campsites, playgrounds, and winter cross-country ski trails. Brunet Island also connects to the Old Abe State Trail and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, making it a great destination year-round.
