Cassville
Cassville was one of the first river towns established in Wisconsin, a gateway for miners and other pioneers. The town remains a crossing point, with the Cassville Car Ferry navigating the Mississippi. The wooded river bluffs of Nelson Dewey State Park are a great place to watch a resident population of bald eagles soar above the river valley. Nearby, the Wisconsin Historical Society operates Stonefield, a re-created 1900’s rural Wisconsin village.
