Houghton Falls State Natural Area

Houghton Falls protects a picturesque pre-Cambrian sandstone gorge along the Lake Superior shore. The dramatic sandstone cliffs extend into the clear waters of Lake Superior, affording views of the Apostle Islands.Please note: Bikes are not allowed in the Preserve. The Echo Dells area is private property and hikers should refrain from hiking down in the streambed.
