Milwaukee County Zoo and Mitchell Park Conservatory Domes – Milwaukee

This entry was posted in Science and Nature Centers, Zoos

A trip to Wisconsin’s largest zoo and the famed Mitchell Park Conservatory Domes are must-visits in Milwaukee. After getting an up-close look at wildlife from all over the world at the 200-acre zoo and walking through a desert oasis, tropical jungle and flower garden at the three Domes, refresh yourself with a cool treat at Gilles Frozen Custard, the city’s oldest custard stand. And let’s not forget the iconic Wisconsin State Fair in nearby West Allis. Social Media Coordinator Derrick Zimmerman says “shoving my face with cream puffs and riding down the giant slide” are his highlights.
